Before finalizing the purchase of the horse, it is essential to draft a contract to ensure the transaction is safe and legal. Our contracts have been supervised by attorneys specializing in equine law, ensuring that all legal aspects are properly addressed. This approach provides peace of mind to both the buyer and the seller, as it clearly outlines the rights and obligations of both parties.
For the convenience of both parties, the contract will be available in both Spanish and English, making it easier for everyone to understand the terms involved.
Important Notes:
* Advance Payment : Payment must be made at least 7 days before the horse leaves, as bank transfers can take time to process.
* VAT: For bank transfers or payments within Europe, a VAT of 21% must be added if the seller is a professional. For countries outside of Europe, such as the USA, Mexico, Japan, and the UK, the VAT is exempt.
6️⃣Transport
If the buyer has no preference for a transportation agency, we can help arrange it with our trusted agencies, who will keep you informed with videos and photos.
1-2 days before the horse leaves, a vet from the OCA (Local Agricultural Office) will come to give the approval, making sure the horse is healthy and shows no signs of illness.
Normally to transport them within Europe or the UK we use the agency "Malaga International Horse transport" and for outside Europe "flying horses" or "World Equs export" Since they are professional agencies that have all the paperwork, certificates and insurance up to date and our horses travel very comfortable and safe with them.
Along with the horse, all possible documents, including its passport, will be provided. The transfer of ownership will be the responsibility of the new owner, and the TRACES (travel permit) is a free service offered by Spanish Horses Delgado as a gift with the purchase.
